Interesting Connection

I’ve been watching Babylon 5 on Netflix. Right now I’m watching the third episode of the first season. From everything I’ve heard from other people, the show gets better.
Anyway, I thought it might be useful or interesting to check out a couple articles on the show. I clicked on Straczynski’s Wiki page. Turns out he was born in the same town as my father and my sisters, Paterson, New Jersey. Dad and the rest of the Scullions were living there at the time. Here’s hoping the water there breeds creativity and success.

So now I’m going to go write more Traveler.

  1. It gets much better. The first season is a bit hurt (Did you watch the pilot episode first? It’s not a part of the first season set.) by the fact that it’s throwing out things that only make sense as the story moves along. The first season lives up to its name of “Signs and Portents” as there is a lot there that’s laying the groundwork for the later seasons.

By the middle of the second season, the story is moving along at a pace where things are the story moves nicely and the new clues as to what’s about to come work well with the story being told rather than seeming like aimless bits of stuff just being thrown at the viewer.

  2. By the way, what did you think of my new all-purpose answer to idiots? It makes an easy link to email back to people that only slightly pisses them off.
